조용한 시골 마을의 한적한 농장에서 한 남자가 서서히 죽어 가고 있다. 병상에서 그를 돌보는 그의 아내는 점점 슬픔에 잠식당하고 있다. 루이즈와 마이클 남매는 어머니를 도와 아버지를 잘 보내드리기 위해 고향으로 돌아오지만 그들은 엄마에게 뭔가 더 큰 문제가 있다는 사실을 알게 된다.
