ゾンゲリア (1981)
平凡な港町を舞台に、生き返った死人たちによって行われる奇怪な殺人事件を描いたミステリー・タッチのホラー。一種の“ゾンビ”物だが、ダン・オバノンとロナルド・シャセットの「エイリアン」コンビによる脚本はロメロのエピゴーネン群とは一線を画す新しいタイプの作品を創造した。顔面溶解や遺骸復元のシーンなど特殊メイク（スタン・ウィンストン）も秀逸。
