Dopo un incidente aereo, un gruppo di studenti si ritrova bloccato su un'isola tropicale senza adulti. Ralph viene eletto capo e, con l'aiuto dell'intelligente Piggy, si impegna a mantenere l'ordine e la civiltà. Jack, responsabile del fuoco di segnalazione, si concentra sempre di più sulla caccia e sulle lotte di potere. Questo porta a tensioni all'interno del gruppo, spingendo gradualmente i ragazzi dalla speranza e dalla struttura al caos e alla tragedia.

I read this book in high school and was really looking forward to a modernised version of the story. This isn't it. I stopped watching after just 10 minutes of the first episode. The show should have been called something else to avoid confusion. It’s like expecting to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, only to be shown a movie written for diabetics where the chocolate is missing from the story.
Really enjoyed the whole series. Great adaptation, haunting score and atmosphere. would have loved it to be longer and deep a little more into their daily struggles, like building shelters and finding food, etc.
I fondly remember reading the book as a teenager in school and although it was shocking I loved it this adaption doesn't do it any justice
I really would like to check this out and give it a chance but the camera work makes me nauseous
